Day One Sessions

Session I – Justice in the Air: Reframing Tobacco Disparities as a Social Justice Issue (Keynote)

In this keynote session, Dr. Sweetland reviewed tobacco-related disparities and how to address them in new ways.

Session II – State of the State

The Department of Health provided updates on project status, information on the priority populations in South Dakota, and progress towards the 2020-2025 Tobacco Control State Plan goals.

Session III – Communications: Priority Populations Data & Resources

Holly and Jenny discussed the data available on priority populations, how the data is used to inform media and advertising, and how grantees and partners can use the available tools and information to inform their work.

Day Two Sessions

Welcome and Morning Plenary

Roshal reviewed the accomplishments of the Community/School Partnership and Disparities Grantees over the past year.

Session IV – Policy to Move the Needle

DEE CALHOUN, SelfMade Health Network

In her presentation, Dee Calhoun explained how you can use health equity informed policies to move the needle, especially among priority populations.

Session V – Building, Expanding, and Sustaining Partnerships

Presenters provided information on how build new partnerships, identify new partners, and sustain existing relationships.
